What is Berean Meeting Place?

Olive Leaf Beginnings

In the book of Genesis 8:11 (NKJV) the lesson reads, " Then the dove came to him (Noah) in the evening, and behold, a freshly plucked olive leaf was in her mouth; and Noah knew that the waters had receded from the earth."  Noah released a dove to see if it was safe to leave the ark after the flood.  When the dove returned with an olive leaf in its mouth, Noah knew that the flooding was over and it was a time of new beginnings.  The dove represents courage to step away from the known to observe the unknown.  The dove gives us an example of stretching outside of our comfort zone but coming back to the place that we left to share our experience with those who were unable to experience what we did.  When the dove returned with the olive leaf in its mouth it was a sign that "all is well".  It was a prophetic declaration that this is a new day, the old experience is over, come out to see and experience a new beginning

The purpose of The Berean Meeting Place is to provide a safe environment to learn about spirituality within small groups.  The Berean Women nurtures relationships through bringing women together for events such as the Saturday morning Coffee Chat, Mary Kay Self enhancement day, and in field trips like to the Peace & Awareness Center Labyrinth in Los Angeles shown in Power Point or Santa Barbara, CA.   BW also have shared interest groups such as Diana's Circle Book Club where we read books such as Esther, Deborah, The Help, or Beloved.  Diana's also attends movies that support the books being read.  Highly Healthy Ladies brings women together to participate in 5K walks and other nutritional activities.  The Berean Study Group brings women together to study the Bible and to attend retreats. All the groups are for the purposes of coming together face to face to spend quality time together.

Each of us has something to contribute to this world, we just need a place where it is safe to begin.    The Berean Meeting Placecreates opportunities for spiritual  growth & development through LIVE and virtual small groups, facilitated by Bishop Naomi Davis.
